Field Vineyard Church is dedicated to enhancing the spiritual, social, and cultural well-being of the Bristol city-region. As one of the numerous great churches in Bristol contributing to the city's welfare, Field Vineyard fosters community across the city-region, embracing everyone. Rooted in evangelical and charismatic traditions, it operates as a movement inspired by and centred on Jesus. Field Vineyard is a registered charity in England and Wales (no.1045452) and a company limited by guarantee (no.03034912).

Church Suite, a password-protected church-specific database (www.churchsuite.com), processes this data, with paper copies securely stored.

Similarly, when you subscribe to our e-newsletter, information like your name, email address, and contact preferences is processed by Mailchimp, an online marketing tool (www.mailchimp.com). Attendance at our events may involve providing details processed on secure paper forms or by Church Suite. Volunteering information, donation details, and payment information for events or courses are also collected and processed securely through various platforms.

Furthermore, data on emails, records of correspondence, website usage details, and participation in community groups are processed for various purposes outlined in this policy.

How do we use it?

The personal data collected may be used for several purposes, including providing news and information about our work, processing financial transactions, analysing service access and trends, conducting surveys, and maintaining accurate records of our employees. Additionally, the data may be utilised for running checks, such as Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks, and for purposes disclosed at the time of information collection or in accordance with your consent.

When do we process personal data?

We process your data when you provide consent or when a legitimate interest exists, such as delivering community services to individuals referred by partner agencies.

Where do we store your personal data?

Field Vineyard is committed to securely holding personal data, whether stored on computers, in paper form, or both. Computers storing personal data are password-protected, and paper files are kept in secure premises in locked cupboards and filing cabinets. Third-party platforms, such as Church Suite, Mailchimp and Stripe, are used to store and process data on our behalf. Data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA) to be processed by staff operating outside the EEA. By submitting personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing, or processing, and we take steps to ensure compliance with relevant UK data protection legislation.

How long do we keep it?

Information is retained as long as your relationship with Field Vineyard is active, needed for service provision, in accordance with legal obligations, or to resolve disputes. Personal information is generally retained for a maximum of 12 months after your last interaction with us unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
